The integration of meticulous occlusal management and thorough radiographic evaluation significantlyenhances the success rates of implant-supported prostheses. Proper occlusal management ensures the appropriatedistribution of functional loads, minimizing the risk of complications. Concurrently, radiographic assessmentsprovide critical insights into the status of the implants and surrounding tissues, allowing for early detection andproactive management of potential issues. By prioritizing occlusal harmony and leveraging advanced radiographictechnologies, the outcomes of implant-supported restorations can be significantly improved, contributing to theoverall well-being and satisfaction of patients. The T-scan system provides a valuable method for the clinicalevaluation and identification of occlusal issues. It can also be utilized to assess the occlusal patterns in patientswith peri-implantitis. The relationship between occlusal problems and periodontal disease remains debated. Thissystematic review updates the understanding of occlusion on dental implants, the impact on the surrounding peri-implant tissues, the effects of occlusal overload on implants and the new approaches for occlusal registrationmethods (T-Scan III Device).
